Together, 2 volumes in one. Folio, 308x219 mm, 16th-century 1/4 blind-tooled pigskin, wooden boards with brass catches, dated 1575, with later trade symbol carved into front cover, spine ends chipped, clasps lacking; 16th-century inscriptions inked over on title, occasional marginal dampstaining and soiling, scattered early marginalia, small wormholes toward end not impairing legibility. Ownership inscriptions on front pastedown of the Mainz painter Ulrich Platzer dated 1566, and his apprentice Jacob Dieckert, stating that he received the book from Platzer's widow, dated 1575.
